I upgraded my VarAC from 8.2.0 to 8.4.4 by copying over the exe file.
When starting, it cannot acces the log files or the file in / out directories. I must start as Administrator to have access. Additionally, when running the 8.4.4 exe - my VAR HF (licensed) pops up the eval message.
What is the correct way of upgrading and maintaining my license?

I tried to install in C:/varac but it is not possible to change the install directory when prompted.
It looks like many are having exactly the same issue.
Logging Error after a restart..
Any unsent Messages or received messages are notdisplayed
Spell checker does not seem to work.
Unable to install in any other directory (as an administrator)
Returned to using v 8.2.0 wgich is stable
I have the same problem. The log files are in the default location "C:/Program files (x86)/VarAC_qso_log.adi". Unlike Mark I did the upgrade with the windows installer.
