When I issue a Path Finder request, more often than not, I get two or more stations on top of each other responding to me, and I can't decode any of them due to the doubling. Since they're broadcasts, if I don't decode any of them, that's it - they're gone forever.
I'm not sure how to get around this problem, but maybe the software could make the responding station wait a random amount of time before transmitting back? That way, it might have more of a chance to pick up the busy state of the current frequency before blindly transmitting.
To Reproduce
Put out a Path Finder request on one of the busier calling frequencies (7105 or 14105) for a station that can be heard by two or more stations who are within broadcast range of your station.
Expected behavior
The software should wait a random amount of time before responding. Maybe it will detect the channel being busy and wait some more so as to avoid doubling with other respondents.

Maybe Irad could use a random timer after the busy indicator is switched off so that not all stations TX their answer immediately after there is no traffic! This is done in PACKET RADIO where we have the Persistance and other parameters.
