TS-590 f-control not working

Hello

My friend Chris, W7AMD has a problem with CAT frequency control in his TS-590. Everything else works - just f-control does not work.

Any advice or comment is most welcome.

Apparently, all works fine when using WSJT-X.

Meanwhile it has been found that there is an error msg related to COM-6

We just don't know what is causing this. Omnirig has been ruled out apparently.

If a Com port is locked it is not a VarAC issue. Something is holding the port obviously. Once you resolve this, then you can enable debug mode on VarAC , try to do a few frequency changes and send me the log for inspection

All understood. However, however, how do we explain that the problem does not occur with WSJT-X ?
