VarAC 2M: selective crashing on broadcast using digipeaters

Tested sending broadcast ALL messages using digi peat with VarAC (7.0.8) with Vara FM (4.2.8). Sending broadcast via digitpeaters using route VIA N3XL-10 and WM3M-10. Sending broadcast via W3AAC-11 (one hop) or W3AAC-11 W3AAC-10 (two hop) results in crashing Vara 2M modem. VarAC client shows binary characters in broadcast message and throws error message (see attached text files).

Our local radio club (yesterday) installed a VARA-FM digipeater (call sign KF0OIC-1) on a mountaintop site. It would be helpful to be able to BROADCAST via a digipeater with an SSID.
