Canned messages

Hello.

My issue is with canned messages.

'My Rig' and 'QSO Truck' populate the New message box, but 'My Info' and 'Thumb' do not. I have checked that under 'canned messages' the data is set. I'm using the latest version for Windows downloaded two.days ago, and I've not edited the default canned messages.

Your video can not be viewed.

But I believe you are just missing the use of the <SND> tag.

Canned messages that has the tag <SND> that is by default queueing the message to be sent (which means it automatically goes into the message queue and skipping the "new message" window.

You can remove that tag if you want them by default to be edited in the "new message" section before sending.

Thanks very much. It's a great piece of software. I'm quite a new ham, and find I'm mike shy with SSB as I have a slight stammer, and although I'm a geek I find FT8 way to automated. VarAC really excites me reminds me of MSN messenger in the 1990s. You and the team have done a fantastic job! Peter M0LMG

VarAC was born to fill the gap of modern type of chatting over the radio.

AS FT8 is not a chat, and people rarely do SSB (as thet hardly talk over the phone nowdays as they prefer chatting) , then a whatsapp-like experiance over HF is what needed to fill that gap :) and this is what we are doing here.
