I've been noticing the "CQ with Hz bandwidth error" for the past several days. I've held off on reporting this, since I was unable to hear (or see) a wide signal, and wanted to make sure that VarAC was possibly hearing better than I was (grin).
VarAC operates perfectly despite this report.

This is due to users sending beacons/cq running with VARA HF 4.6.8 which had a buggy CQFRAME. Next time you see this - look in the "VARA COMMAND" window and you shoyuld see something like this: "CQFRAME 4Z1A C 500" - an extra space in the callsign that makes this phenomenon. not a VarAC bug. Closing.
