At 1st I thought I had a problem with VarAC not reading the freq when the VFO freq was changed.
I then enabled the "Read freq which is defaulted to 2 secs.
The program will now track the VFO BUT with a very slow response.
I tried timing it with a digital stop watch and got 4secs but that does not include the human factor.
Either way a setting of 2secs is way to long. My Comport baud Rate is 115200.

Already an old post, but to reduce unneeded traffic on the CI-V
Check the following settings (you may include the cat commands):
FEFE 94 E0 1A 05 00 75 00 FD CI-V echo back off
and
FEFE 94 E0 1A 05 00 71 00 FD CI-V transceive off
