If there is text in the "Messages in Que" box it gets deleted if I enter a canned message from the "Load a Canned Message" list. I was expecting the canned message to be just added to the "Messages in Que" box.

@russtower ok fixed.
see in screenshot - first line I typed manually. 2nd and 3d are from a "73" canned message. Please for the good order of things open a feature request :)

Yes. It deleted what was already composed in the New Message box but had not been queued yet.
@russtower Ok. you mean that "canned message" insertion runs over an a message you started to compose but did not Queued yet ?
Are you sure it is not added ? because the window is small it should be up there if you scroll up in the "messages in queue". can you verify that please ?
can you send a before and after image ?
You don't need to connect somebody to simulate BTW
