Clearing the Queue

After disconnecting from a QSO, can you clear the messages currently in the queue? I find this helpful after a disconnect due to QRM, QSB, or other reasons. In this manner, a quickly established connection with a new station does not get the remnants of the previous QSO inadvertently.

This is how the algorythme works :

1. When disconnected from a station, the unsent messages remain in queue in case you the QSO was terminated un-intentionally.

2. When connected, VarAC check if you reconnected with the same session

- If yes - it will keep the messages in queue and continue to forward.

- If no - it cleans the queue.

Therefore - you are safe. Pay attention next time to see how it works.

If it does not work this way, then it is a bug. But I am not aware of one at the moment.

Thank you, Gary, I am quite familiar with the Clear button. However, VarAC automates a lot of tasks and in that spirit clearing the message queue would fall under that umbrella. How many people out there must look at the keyboard to type as I do? It is in this scenario that contacts end unexpectedly as you have a message in the queue. I have sent unintended messages and I've seen YouTubers do the same. Now this doesn't have to happen, but it sure would be cool for the board to be wiped clear after a QSO. Still, just my two cents.

Ah, in your original post you just asked how the clear the Message Queue, you did not mention this being done automatically. To me that is 2 different things, and automatically clearing does have some merit.
