Thanks to Rick Hanzlik JR for this solution to my problem, you would need to open the VarAC Cat Command. INI file and change the USB-D line below to fix the change from the RTTY option to USB-D
ModeUSB_D=FEFE88E00608FD -- this line should be
ModeUSB_D=FEFE88E02600010103FD-- This will set the IC-7100 to the USB-D mode and will set the filter to fil3.

If you want fil1, change the 03 FD to 01 FD.
If you want fil2, change the 03 FD to 02 FD
