Greetings,
I just moved from FT-991A to FT-710. Much better receiver, pity that it does not have 2m / 70cm bands. I kept all settings, changed the model declaration in VarAC only. Almost everything works fine. One behaviour look like a bug for me. I have in settings a requirement for VarAC to kick off the radio internal tuner upon band skip (change of bands). It did that on 991A. It does not do that on 710.
Radio: YAESU FT-710
VarAC: 10.2
Computer operating system: Win 11
How to view the problem: While in VarAC: make sure that TUNE option is shown on screen of the radio, execute any band change, listen if the tuner starts clicking. It does not start for me.
Cheers,

Thank you both guys. I updated the CAT file for future downloads.
73s!
I just downloaded and looked at the CAT commands for both radios. The CAT command for the tuner start is different between these 2 radios. And the CAT ini file in VarAC has the 710 using the 991A command. But super simple fix, edit the VarAC_cat_commands.ini and go to the FT-710 entry and change the AntennaTuner=AC002; to AntennaTuner=AC003;
