I've been using ChatGPT to ask "what is [QTH] known for?" as a means of spurring a conversation.
I recently had a QSO with a station in rural Oregon and ChatGPT told me that the town was known for its grain elevators. I thought that was funny so I copied what ChatGPT said and sent it back to him. It turns out, he was one of the managers of the grain elevators and his grandfather ran them from 1948 until 1977. How cool is that?
It would be really interesting if there was a ChatGPT button(s) that acted just like the QRZ.com button except it opened a browser window with the answer to "what is [QTH] known for?" Another possible use would be "tell me a ham radio joke."
Well - As much as I like ChatGPT on a day to day use, I do not find this use case as something that will be of an intrest to many hams. If you come up with another use case I will be happy to consider. I myself struggle with what benefits from ChatGPT we can harness for VarAC if at all. 73s!
