Sorry an old post, but i crep it up once more. A TUNE button is NOT a Power slider. Your power will change for sure if you TUNE ur Audio output (ALC). Put its not a POWER slider, as an classic CAT Slider which is connected to the POWER settings of the transceiver. For example this could me manifested in the cat control file and paired with an slider in the gui...73
It's an unfortunate use of Terminology.The control(ALC) actually adjusts Audio DriveYou see the same effect if you go into Audio Control and turn it Up/DownThe ALC "Meter" just shows you the Result of Turning Up/Down DriveEver since PSK31 came out in 1998I set Radio to 100W, and adjust Audio Drive to 10~50WThe PA is biased for optimum, and you get a very clean signalOn most Radios, ALC just starts to show from @ 50~60W, I like Zero ALC
