Hello, I am a user of JS8Call and that software has the ability to send your location (via grid square) or a raw packet to the APRS network. It would be great to see this functionality in this software. Thank you.
I would like to second this request to add reporting to the APRS network. JS8 works for position reporting to the APRS network but its a bit clunky and there aren't any other options using HF other than manually posting via Winlink. Adding this feature to pull GPS data and post automatic position reports via beacons would be a very useful feature for off-road, POTA, and SOTA applications.
Hello. Say during a QSO one person could send <GRID: EN94MN>, the other station would send that report to the APRS network, over the internet, on behalf of the station sending the grid. The grid function would be good for portable operators, and with APRS raw packet functionality, you could send a message to any APRS user including sending a text message or email.

Decided not to go that path... I'll leave APRS for APRS tools :) 2 different use cases.
Thanks Carson.
ok got it. Thanks @Carson Morton for elaborating.
I will definitely look deeply into this request.

I'm not sure I follow your request.
Can you shed more light on the use case behind it.
Who do I share it with ? through what means ? Internet ?
