VarAC for PACTOR Modems?

Hi Irad,

I wonder if when you make VarAC/VARA the way you like, can we ever have a VarAC/PACTOR for us PACTORists??? I hope you haven't sold your PACTOR Modem! Hihihi!

That would be great to have a decent interface for Pactor mode! Just something to interface with the commands and have a few gui's. We can only hope! 73

If we could persuade Irad, it would be great to also be able to use PACTOR with VarAC. There are other programs for PACTOR but they are abandoned and VarAC is a modern program and does much more than older terminal programs for PACTOR.

Thanks for reply Irad. This is for whenever you feel like it. We have SImple32 for the time being but I think you will make a much better terminal progrm, but of course VarAC comes first and it has to be perfected and Filetransfer plus MBOX added to it first before trying to do anything with PACTOR. 73 de Demetre M0SUY

Yep. that's definitely doable. With some limitations and changes of course. as the TNC commands are different so functionality may differ. but thats doable... I will probably will get there when we have all main feature I design for VARA HF and then VARA FM

Yes that would be great. I run pactor and love my SCS 7800 Modem. varAC is certainly becoming very popular now especially with such brilliant software But there’s room for both these excellent modes to be used. A PacAC program to compliment the hardware modems would be very useful indeed.
