Hi:
Have detected flags at stations not sending beacons. Question is IF VarAC could allow a direct call to station not RX in Beacon or CQ? Some type of what in 6M we call 'blind calling". Sometimes the other operator could detect a call and decide to answer without being actively sending beacon.
Thanks in Advance.

I have the same question. Several people have said it's easy after using PSK Reporter, but I don't see where to enter a call that is not in the beacon list or calls list. And I can't send a message other than CQ without being connected.. Also, I noticed that if I tune to a slot, Vara HF will decode the messages which shows me the call signs, even though those call signs are not in the Beacon or Call list. So let's say I wanted to connect with one of those call signs after they were done with their QSO... how do I do that?
I also do this all the time. PSK is very useful in identifying stations that can hear YOUR station's beacon even if you could not hear theirs (or maybe they forgot to turn beacons on). Such 'blind' contacts I have made have often turned into coaching sessions for new VarAC users
If you turn off PSK reporting in your settings you can prevent blind contacts to your station, but why would you want to?

I do this all the time. if you know the call you want, nothing stops you from trying to either do a connect, or a PING to him/ her.
works perfectly ok.
