Version 9.1 added EmComm mode! Thanks Irad!
and I see that templates for forms can be added to an .ini file.
I did a test with a friend where I used Flmsg to create an ICS-213 (formatted) form and saved to a file with Flmsg and then sent that tiny file during a VarAC connected session. It worked well, but was a bit clunky to save and find the file.
It would seem to me that since the forms library in Flmsg is maintained by others, that interfacing VarAC with Flmsg would un-burden the VarAC team from maintaining a library of templates as well as presenting a way to send fully formatted forms.
Thanks for your focus on EmComm, Irad!

Yes Irad... I like Greg Tillman's method of creating folders that can be accessed by both VarAC and Flmsg. This would allow using Flmsg to create a file using the standard template (ics-213, etc) and the resultant file could be sent using VarAC. This is the way Flmsg is used along with Flamp and Fldigi or just with Fldigi.
The main idea is enabling use of Flmsg and the forms library that is already in existance and is maintained.

What I did was in the directory where I installed varac, I added a folder named varacfiles. Then opened varacfiles and added RX and SENT. In the Varac settings I set the location of where I wanted my inbound and outbound files to be. Makes it much easier to locate my files when I save from flmsg for different nets and keeping files separated. Just a thought.
Hey Rick. sound interesting. I played a bit with FLMSG and I see the potential you are seeing. I would like to take this discussion a bit further - what are the missing parts in VarAC to make it less "Clunky". Is attaching a file to a VMail would cut it rather then just doing copy/paste into the VMAIL and then copy text into NOTEPAD, save and open with FLMSG. is that what you have in mind ? attaching those FLMSG files to a VMAIL ?
