VarAC Backups

I just read your "

"I'v upgraded my VarAC and now it is broken. Now what?"

Maybe you will build a Backup function in the next VarAC version.

This also done in DXKeeper.

By every close of VarAC a new Backup will created in the Backup directory like

ON2AD_2024-02-25_15-12-33.xxx

ON2AD_2024-02-25_16-10-20.xxx

ON2AD_2024-02-25_16-12-01.xxx

ON2AD_2024-02-25_16-12-33.xxx

xxx = your extentie you will use

Unless those backup files are small.... i might open/close VARAC several times a day. backing up at EVERY closure might be too much. Rerason is that with the criminally insane electricity prices here, i cannot afford to keep varac running hour after hour.

Hi Albert,

These files are very small, and the advantage is that you can always go back to files that are not broken or damaged, which can happen from time to time.

A routine can also be built into the Backup so that only, for example, 40 different backups are made and that the 41st backup deletes the very first.

All this only takes a few seconds.

I also have this routine in MixW3.2, this file was created by Colin 2E0BPP at my request.
