A leader in our local EMCOMM group has employed a good idea (or so we think!) in creating alert tags. These may, or not, be compatible with some groups but to each their own.
Instead of using single words for the alert tag, such as ALERT or EMCOMM or whatever, he uses phrases that can be used as part of the body of the alert message. EMCOMM NET ACTIVE ON 145.160 is one that can be used all by itself or in a sentence: STARTING AT 1600 ((then enter the above alert tag)). Another is WX ALERT which would be followed by a link to the NWS page containing the alert. Or ALL STATIONS WX ALERT STATUS UNTIL 1900.
Just another idea of many that are in our minds or are currently used.
