To be more clear, a failed ping attempt stops after the three attempts. On a connection made with a report etc the program then does not disconnect until I disconnect manually with the disconnect or abort button. I was wrong in my previous post. It is the program that fails to disconnect after a successful ping.
I really need to see a video. It might give me a hint of what's going on. Does the other side send you a report ? Do you get a report at all? Can you send me a screenshot of your varac entire screen while you are in this loop?
When I ping a callsign and it does not return a response my radio (Kenwood V71A) stops transmitting. When I do receive a response my radio continues to transmit the ping. There is no indication on the main window (the advanced version) that this is happening only on the radio and at the same interval as a ping. The continuous transmission has been confirmed by a responding station. To stop the transmission I can disconnect using the disconnect button. I recently upgraded to version 11.0.7. I will try to post a copy of the log in the next hour. Thank you.
Sound like a ping attempts that are failing...ping is actually a connection made, getting a report and disconnecting. It sounds like you are attempting to connect with no success to estaish the link and after a few attempts it will stop that on its own
lets continue the discussion over email... need a shorter loops with you. send me an email to iradirad@gmail.com
