Cannot Decode QSOs

I’ve had Varahf going for some time. I get signals of s7 or better but still do not decode an ongoing QSO. Every once in a while a few words will appear. Running 7300, windows 10. I can see and hear great signals but almost no decode. Is this the norm? Many thanks for assistance.

OK, first off your input into VARA is WAY to high as indicated by VU Meter screaming it is in the red.

Second, your VarAC and VARA HF are horrible out of date.

I understand all of that. I keep updating, tweaking..this is my fourth attempt to get it going. It never has worked from the very first install. Perhaps Vara is the one that eludes me. But thanks for the observations.

I may do an entire reinstall sometime.

No point in troubleshooting until you are fully updated. But you said it doesnt work, but I clearly see Beacon decodes so certainly it is decoding. Bu t as I noted before you are way over driving VARA so that will certainly impact decoding.
