I asked a question in the feedback page, about seeing on the how to set up page a page capture of a Icom 9700, however from what I can see the highest frequency you can use is 50MHz in the software, I was then told by Irad.D you just update the freq file with whatever freq you want and it will appear in the drop down menu, the higher freq gives you really fast speeds, doesn't work, tried 144MHz, also the 9700 has no sound card as such needed for this, I belive. Happy to be corrected, pointed in right direction. Cheers

I have an IC-9700 and can confirm that it has a sound card built in. It works on meteor scatter and FT8, not tried it on VarAC but it is no different to FT8 in terms of setup for USB audio.

Just simply edit the VarAC_frequencies.conf file with Notepad and add/subtract what you would like.
And looking at the spec's in Icom's website it shows and lists it supports "USB audio and control connection". I then downloaded the manual and confirmed it indeed has a built in soundcard.
