yes, for your americans that is so. here in northern europe it is different. the thing is, it would not allow me to change to a colon. The software has decided to put dots in there, and it insists keeping dots there. Most likely, because it takes the date notation, or "locale"-information from the PCs setup , which naturally is setup to work for finnish people. If you can post a few lines of how your actual configuration file looks like, then i can try to bypass the GUI of vara, and edit the configuration file directly, and see if the software would accept it. check my windows taskbar - how the time is written there - then you understand what i mean:

I completely understand your pain. I remember I had extreme difficulty to have people in the single-byte world understand the importance of I18N, L10N, multibyte character sets, international keyboards and etc., etc. three and more decades ago. But now it has become a common practice. I believe this will be fixed soon, if it is a defect in the code, but I can't tell. As Gary suggested above, you may want to report it in the Bug section of this forum to expedite the solution.
