RIG name disappears, it will not be saved.
Open Menu Settings/PtTT and VARA configurations
Use CAT Commands for PTT only
In RIG select your RIG, in my case FT-991A, press Save and Exit
Re-open and the RIG field is Empty

OK, but why not the RIG ?
Now I use a FT-991A but I can also use a TS-2000 or IC-703.
So this RIG info is also a indication for whish RIG are this settings.

THe RIG selector purely populate the PTT commands with the right strings.
It is not what is saved. These are the elements that should be saved,
