FT991A frequency shift

Hello

Since the last release I've a problem with the Freq. busy indicator always on.

I'm aware that this comes from the frequency shift visible on the VARA modem screen

(see screenshot). I'm able to center the noise signal only by shifting the filter in the M-List menu

via the "shift" to the left of the "Width" function by 500Hz. The shown width is 500Hz, so I've to shift to -500 to have the signal centered.

I've tried all possible setups with the rig in the USB-D mode but to no avail.

My question : Is there any other settting in the menu setup I could use ?

I would start with using the Search feature and you will find a lot of info on the 991A to include a specific guide for VarAC. https://www.varac-hamradio.com/forum/search/991a

Of course that's what I did. There was a post (Nov. 24 - 2023) from DF7ET concerning the same issue, but the answer given by Irad did not help. I've the menu items 64 and 65 set to 1500Hz, Varac is on 500Hz. I guess I'll have to ask DF7ET how he solved this problem.

I also noticed a typo in my previous message, I've to shift to +500Hz and not -500.

Hello Gary,

In the mean time I've found the solution. FT991A menu item 62 must be set to others.

I hope this will help other VarAC users.

A post from HB9FIH mentions that also with the shifts to 1500Hz. Other Yaesu's have the same issue but the menu items are slightly named differently.
