Hermes lite 2 Cat Control settings

I am new to VaraAC. I’m using SDR Console with a Hermes lite and can’t seem to get it to connect. Should I use Omnirig or VAC software. Anyone care to enlighten me on the proper settings to get it running? Greatly appreciated. Cat control settings are not available anywhere I have looked. Is there another radio setting that will work?

I can’t get the Vara HF sound card to show Line 2. Only line 1. Using Virtual Audio cables KS and setting up with both 1 and 2. In Thetis I can see both of them only with the KS Driver setup. It’s pretty much the same with MME. Why can’t I get line 2 into Vara HF?

Screen shots go a long way. Thank you. What about your Virtual Audio cable setup? Are you using KS or MME. Line 1 for input and line 2 for output? Also, I keep getting a pop up for Vara saying I need to use the paid version. So I bought it. I don’t know if I’m trying to use to many megabits because of the wrong settings.

Yes Screenshots help tremendously. As for Virtual Audio Cable as seen in the Thetis VAC screenshot I am using WASAPI but you could also use MME. You have to use 2 different Virtual Audio Cables lines as shown in the screenshot also, one for In and one for Out.

Gary, Would you care to share your settings for Thetis? I reinstalled it and now I remember why I gave up the last time. I can’t get input and output settings correct and when I do get audio, I have static that I just can’t seem to get rid of. I use ON7OFF settings from his youtube videos. Any ideas on the QRM?

And here are my VAC settings. You will need to use a Virtual Audio Cable. I currently use https://vac.muzychenko.net/en/ but https://vb-audio.com/Cable/index.htm works just as well.

In my opinion Thetis is a much better option for HL2, and with Thetis you will use TCP/IP CAT and Virtual Audio, one is for the CAT path the other is Audio.
