Kenwood TS-2000 TX Audio

in VarAC - HF discussion forum

I am very new to VarAC!

Frequently my TS-2000 will not TX any audio with VarAC.

I see that I am transmitting but there is not signal. It seems to be only doing certain functions?

I have never noticed this problem with Winlink using VARA, only VarAC.

I have a TS-2000, Signalink USB and using CAT to PTT.

Any Ideas?

Open VARA (modem). Settings, Soundcard. Device Input should be, "Line (USB AUDIO CODEC)

Of course Device Output is "Speakers (USB AUDIO CODEC) I run a TS-2000, SignaLink with a HP Desktop.

I just noticed you post was a Year Old. Hope it was resolved and you didn't give up.

VarAC is not playing sound to your RIG. Its all controlled by VARA. VarAC may only change your mode of the rig based on YOUR preferences.

Make sure that under VarAC settings. you select USB/USB-D based on your rig capabilities.

Hi, I have a similar problem. Although it worked well, I went with a clone from my PC to another PC, then it went wrong. at least, yes, it even worked. But then the problems came. No audio output even though the audio carts are set up properly in the vara modem. The strange thing now is that sometimes there is and sometimes there is no audio during a broadcast. For example, give I cq, then the first broadcast is with audio, after that only a carrier wave is included in the broadcast. Where can he go? Who has the golden solution? Thanks in advance.
