After I call CQ or Send Beacon my frequenct shows BUST and I am unable to make any further transmissions. It states that the freq. is busy and will wait yntil its free, but it never is free?

When I open VarAC V8.0.6 top left hand corner shows Freq. a large REDbox showing "BUSY" box ( this usually comes on when TX) it is just above the Large box showing the freqency.
I am then unable to TX either to Beacon or CQ.
My settings are Omni Rig and USB-D. I can PPT on and off and change calling freqency.
If I change the settings to USB the "BUSY" goes out and I can then TX but there is no audio output and no PSK repeater signal.

Where does it show Busy, in VarAC or in VARA HF, or both? Screenshots would be very helpful.
