I have CAT control working. I have the setting set as described in various manuals and videos. However when I call CQ the transmit light illuminates, relays click and my power meter shows 0 watts going out.
I assume the signal is not getting modulated.
I do know know what to check, but as of now I am getting too frustrated.
I double checked the transmit of the radio and it puts out 21 watts via wsjt-x for FT8.
Any help would be appreciated. FB group made a few suggestions. None worked.

SignaLink for audio

Thanks for the reply. I am going to check that setting just to make sure it is correct. However, this is embarrassing to admit... but here goes (I replied above similarly): Oh my goodness! In my rush I did not set the output to my SignaLink. Once I did and then hit Tune, made the adjustments to get 15-20 watts RF output. I called CQ several times and output RF was vacillating between 15 and 20 Watts. I was able tune my antenna. I saw no activity on 20, 40 or 17 meters. Of course I am not sure what to expect or look for so there may have been active folks out there but I did not know enough to see them. I need to watch a video or 2.
I also opened Vara chat and got more confused.

The fix for my DTDX3000 when it did exactly the same thing was to go to the menu and set menu item 106 (CW PC memory keying) from the default of 'front' to 'usb... (Just need to remember to switch it back before using the microphone on SSB).
I was skeptical, but tried it and it worked...

If a PTT is keyd and just no audio, it sounds like something on the Vara Modem side.
Are you using Signalink for PTT or only for Audio. I mean do you use CAT control at all for PTT or frequency control in VarAC like on this screenshot below ?
Please paste yours as well
Also - on the Vara modem side - did you set the audio to the right audio device ? can you post a screenshot of that ?
