I just had a connect with WA5YZD on 7105 and it was weird. It is like nothing I sent was being read on his end but when I sent his end was giving ACKs. Here is the transcript:

Comments? I am puzzled!
I remember that QSO. It was not like any other connection. Maybe a loss of signal at a critical time caused some error that the app did not anticipate. - WA5YZD Roy
There is Vara 4.6.1 that I just upgraded to. Which is the latest VarAC? I am currently running 3.2.2. I thought I saw a video about a new version where there was a QSYU / QSYD buttons. Was I dreaming? If not, where is that download?

You would hope that everyone was on the latest versions given the big improvements the updates of both VarAC and VARA HF bring.
irad d,
I think that VaraC would be improved if it at least reported the current version to the other end somewhere in the handshaking for an internal log. I spotted WA5YZD from his beacon and connected. What you see in the transcript at the start of this sequence of messages is the full contact. No qsy was attempted during or prior to the connect with WA5YZD. I do not know what version VaraC he is running. I have VARA 4.5.7 and VaraC 3.2.1 here.
I am aware of such a bug in early versions of VarAC related to the QSY popup.
In older version if someone asked for a QSYU/D and the other side did not respond to the popup and it was left floating, the app started not to show incoming data. This was solved in the last version where the popup close itself in 15 seconds. Can you validate in what version of VarAC your partener was using during that QSO ? It can be that an earlier QSY window from a previous connection put his VarAC into this state and its not a QSY initiated in your QSO.
Irad
Well VARA is an ARQ mode so it provides a positive ack that a message went through. maybe he set his Font color to be the same as his background 😀
To KB3PCY good connect sigs good but them it faded and disconnected.
I am running the most current VARA-HF and VaraC releases. Rig is a TS-480.
