pinpoint cannot work anymore

Hi, I have started pinpoint after a while, but with new VarAC version it doesn't connect to VARA anymore. If I try to connect VARA from pinpoint it works, but if VarAC is open the connection fails. Is it related to broacast function implemented into VarAC using kiss? VARA 4.6.9 and VarAC6.3.3 here

Broadcasts & relay notification uses the VARA KISS interface. Same like Pinpoint. this is why they can not co-exists.

You can disable the VarAC KISS features if you want and then you can use pinpoint.

Under VarAC.ini file, find this parameter and make it OFF:

VarahfEnableKissInterface=ON

Too niche settings. There are some I do not want to put on the main settings screen as they are advanced and less common. want to keep it as simple as possible for the common user. This is covered in the manual though.

sorry, but in a general way I cannot agree. That is nothing more advanced than tcp port numbers for connection to VARA available in the configuration window. If a deselectable option next to kiss port number had been available I would have immediately tried it without annoying you here in the forum :)) ! and it could be immediately operative closing the tcp connection without shutting down VarAC. best 73

I decide on features based on volume of request that I see or specific interest I have in it. So far both criteria are not met here my friend. If I see more people needing this I will reconsider.
