QSY Protocols suggestions.
Now that we are getting so many new VarAC users and 14.105MHz is starting to get very busy, I think it is time to consider some QSY Protocols.
In my QRG list I have in addition 14.105.750 and 14.104.250 which is a QSY of Up .750MHz and Down .750MHz. This gives us 3 VARA channels within a single VARA 2300Hz channel of 300-2700Hz.
After an initial connection on 14.105MHz and if the QSO is going to be longer than a few minutes maybe consider a QSY Up or Down?
Thoughts?
Yes Gary... I'm on Network105 LSB 7X24 have had no issues with 105 USB... All ok...from my QTH
If they are LSB then no issues.
Hello all....Just remember 14.105 LSB is a long established 300 baud Packet KEYBRD<>KEYBRD mailbox group. Large group of USA stations and South America and Canada on 7x24.
Just FYI LEE WB4QOJ
FYI Hearing stations on VARA this morning from my QTH Atlanta Ga. But could not stay had appointment.
Yes, that’s good idea as I can see varAC/Vara becoming very popular so it would make sense to qsy up or down to make way for people calling cq.
