I am busy creating a CAT control file for the Kenwood TK-90, which uses the standard Kenwood TEXT character set. However, rather than using the more usual ';' semi-colon as command terminator, the Kenwood TK-90 uses a Carriage Return '\r' character. If I append a '\r' at the end of the command string for the TK-90 the VarAC CAT control does not interpret it as a carriage control , but outputs it as text - as a '\' and a 'r' characters. I verified this by outputting the VarAC CAT control commands to a terminal screen. What do I have to do for VarAC to correctly output the command terminator as a control character {'\x0d') ? All you have to do is to read the instructions in the CAT command file where you currently work in... I copied the relevant part :
