Then to stay within the WARC 10.130 to 10.150 data segment I suggest 30 meter center frequency of 10.130.750 with lower of 10.130.000 and upper of 10.131.500 to stay within the WARC data segment. This gives 750 hz separation using the 500 hz setting of VarAC with the Vara modem. Thus all are upper sideband and appear as:
Hi Gary and group. I have been checking for a good watering hole for our group on the 30 meter band and after a whole day of monitoring I find 10.143 USB to be a good spot. It's in the area most used by sophisticated digital modes such as VarAC/HF-VARA yet appears to be clear of any established BBS operations, etc.
Hi Gary.... i heard you last week sometime. You appeared in my list. de VK2NA
I just notice while on JS8, they are using 10.300 , FYI...
FCC 97.221 relegates 10.140-10.150 for automated wide-band operation - may want to steer clear of the winlink wideband zones for 500 hz operation
So as long as the Dial is 10.130 and you are in USB you are good.
I’ve checked the official band plan and the WARC data section of the band is from 10.130 - 10.150 Mhz. Below 10.130 is CW.
