Hello everyone, I have the problem that I can't get my Yaesu FT1200 set to run VarAC with it. I've tried to adjust the mask nicely. I use a MiniProSC as a sound card ( https://www.g4zlp.co.uk/unified/DM_MiniPro_SC.shtml ).
I know I’m a little late to this discussion, new user to VarAC, but I have attached an image of the VarAC settings I use with my Yaesu FTdx1200 going through the Yaesu SCU-17.
Also had to change menu 103 in the radio settings from "Front" to "Data"
That's a different situation. You can try VOX to see if that works but the SCU-17 has two com ports and a din connector to the transceiver if I remember correctly. I don't think it sends audio data through the microphone like the RBA. It's a special case and has its own drivers for the operating system. Setting USB on the 1200 probably won't accomplish anything. Both Ham Radio Deluxe and FLDigi have special built-in options for the SCU-17, you might check their docs to see what they recommend.
Each rig has its specific configs. Without additional info it is hard to debug. Have you tried to use any of the other rig control options? FLRIG maybe ?
I set it to USB but then the 1200 does not TX. If I go back to USB-DATA it looks as if a filter cut of the area in the red zone. Is there a setting I miss?
