HEY! I got it fixed! No idea why this works but it did. My problem was the KISS Interface was disabled on VarAC startup (WINLINK Priority). I messed with every setting imaginable with no joy - but then I went into the VarAC settings and configured a duplicate VARA HF for monitoring (copy your VARA HF .exe into another folder and then reference it in the VarAC setting). This opens two instances of the VARA HF modem on startup and the KISS interface is NOT disabled! Like I said, I have no idea why this works, but I'm able to send and receive broadcasts now.

Same here - I have Winlink installed but it's not open/active when running VarAC, and I just updated to VARA HF 4.6.5 earlier today.

FWIW I'm having similar problems as everyone else. I tried the few different fixes suggested here, but I'm not a power user so a lot of the TCP Port, Port 8100 Firewall stuff is totally over my head and I'm probably doing something wrong.

Thanks for the reply, Irad! Very minor problem, indeed. I have been using VarAC for a few weeks now and it's definitely the best digital mode I've used to date. It has all the best features of other modes rolled into one great program. THANK YOU!
