I know a lot of users run 20m during the day and 40m at night. In my 14 years of amateur radio experience I could probably count on one hand the number of QSO's I've made on 30m. I would love to play with the band more, and get to know it better - and better yet, have some great QSO's with all of you! For the next week or two come find me on 30m for a chat, a ping, or maybe just a relay! See you over on 30m!

When browsing PSKreporter I see the majority of VarAC users are on 20m during the day, and 40m at night. I would love to see more users on 80m, 30m, 17m, etc. I was thinking it might be fun to have some kind of "Special Event" or "QSO Party" to encourage activity on the other under-utilized bands. Similar to the JS8call QSO Party weekends, we could have a once a month/week event over a weekend, or even for an entire week where, for example, we all focus on making contacts on 30m, and maybe have a "theme" where perhaps you exchange a small avatar image using the file transfer feature, or try to make a contact on every band from 80m-6m? Just an idea! Would love to hear other ideas from the group 🙂

In Bugs - Fixed
This is a possible bug, or maybe just a simple feature request but I would like to tell the software which slot I'm on manually, during a QSO while I'm connected to another station - this is for a radio not connected via CAT - so QSY and frequency changes are done manually. Example: Yesterday evening I connected with a station on the calling frequency (7.105mhz), and then initiated a QSY request to Slot 4. The pop-up window appeared telling me that I needed to "Hurry and QSY manually". I changed the frequency on my radio to 7.102mhz, and clicked "OK" on the pop-up window. However, the frequency in the upper left corner did not change, and remained on 7.105. I was given the warning that I was on the calling frequency and then was automatically disconnected after the time limit was reached. I was unable to tell the software that I was actually on Slot 4 because the slot selection field is disabled while you're connected to a station. I realize I'm probably one of the few that does not use CAT commands with their radios and this probably isn't an issue for most people 😀

When dark mode is activated the font doesn't change colors so the black font dissappears against the black background. Changing the background color also occasionally causes the "invisible" text problems, and changing the font color doesn't fix it either. Not a big deal, but thought I'd mention it.
