@irad d I just tried reproducing it (unpacking again into Program Files and the running it) but because it couldn't create a log file I have no log file to share. I got the callsign prompt and then it froze and I had to kill it.

Folder permissions were in fact the problem. I had put it in my "Program Files" folder, and when I deleted that and installed 3.5 to a folder within My Documents, it runs just fine! Thanks!
