Today my station will again for a while on 30m (25th Feb). Let´s see....

30m ...would be nice :) At 17m i got already some stations but yes, i agree with VK3FFB!!

So what about to stay there on a specified time to get more OMs to the 30m Band. I.e. we can start with it and stay every Saturday or Sunday on 30m at evening time? But it shouldn´t just an hour, because nobody will take care about it. We should stay (active or inactive with beacons) some hours. @Markus, i´m sure that our distance is very fine for a connect. Let me know when you´re there on evening time, i will try to connect.

Nothing :-( It´s so bad NOT to use 30m. Because on weekend we often have contests around the world and of course the Vara QRGs are used as well. So, WARC would be without contest and very great for digital modes.

So let´s try 30m again :-) I´m QRV today night!

Ok, will do the same. Beacon is running and vmail can be checked the whole day. I´ll be active on evening time (27th) with chat. So lets get some OMs to the VaraC QO100 :-)

I also would like to recommend to use more 30m. I did it already and got nice contacts. But, we need more 30m band users. Don´t move if you see nobody on 30m. Stay for a while and you´ll see, someone comes around. User the broadcast function in VaraC. Make a broadcast like this: ALL: Who would like to check VaraC on 30m Band, pse follow! QSY now Got contacts on 30m with stations who did qsy as well. Try it :-)

TNX! I had already a qso in VaraC via the SAT QO-100! Works great. All others take care that you are using vara sat instead of vara hf. For the upcoming holidays i´ll stay there more often!

I predict already from the beginning, that the ping function will bring it to FT8 mentality. Maybe keep it but build in a timer, that ping is so often possible or so. Otherwise it will go more and more in this direction like FT8. Independent from that, i´m very happy that the community with VaraC is growing and i had already a lot of nice QSOs around the world. Also the Broadcast is used very well!

Don´t we have enough digital modes for contests? FT4 is a very fast one by the way. I would like to keep it as a real chat program.
