this is not related to the app but the website. currently to get the zip you must know the file GUID for the current release, you need to enter email etc to obtain this link. so when published it cant be found out quickly. for linux installer scripts for wine and such can automate the install of vara, and include VarAC.. however the scripts need manually updated each time for the .exe link. request to change the current releases page, to not redirect the current newest version back to the email/download page but rather directly link to the file ..allowing automated downloading of the "newest version" via wget and bash scripts. This would keep the email on the front and attractive download link but allow back-door script access to automate via the releases page. if easy? or if easy to make a static link of varac-hamradio.com/download/varac.zip with the latest.. not huge deal but would be cool to automate new version grab better.

i had made a comment on the last version that it was a bit hard to function for myself. this New code is running much nicer and is more stable i feel. Im still operating rasberry only issues are the fancy text boxes (which are also used on vmail) I just paste into them and it works well enough :) anyway if the feedback is helpful things better!

New version I can’t have any QSO‘s without something on or near the frequency causing huge delays in my beacons and its almost not possible to have a lengthy QSO anymore can we have old versions out for download.

I see frames for CQ go across the log but the entry in the CQ window isn't updated

I heard this app runs in wine but a simple dump the directory to the c drive isn’t loading it well. Vara modems work fine, varaac will load the modem and I see the window load full of visual objects and it will dump out after that - rather verbose on the console is there a trick or documentation I missed for operations on Linux/wine
