Hi 2 all, First, I just started my adventure with VarAC and Vara HF. Till now I have been using js8call, wsjt-x, sstv. I am just starting to play with digital modes, but they are very interesting and promising. I am using Linux Manjaro as my daily driver, but want to swap to Arch due to less issues with delayed dependencies, etc. The configuration: • hardware - lenovo TinkPad T450s • soft - Arch Linux 6.6.35-2-lts, wine-staging, winetricks What works • Vara HF - all is as should be, installation, configuration and use ( RX only ) • VarAC - installation, part of configuration, RX What doesn't work • CAT control - each attempt to call a serial port causes trigger TX in the radio and instant wine crash. Js8call and wsjt-x with the same settings works without any issues. This led me to think that there is probably something wrong with wine itself or configuration.
