W4RLS: if your comment is towards my post We are talking different things: TCI (Transceiver Control Interface) is developed by Expert Electronics or EESDR- it carries ALL information RX/TX frequency and audio using TCI interface- ANAN or Apache Labs has also introduced the EESDR TCI protocol inter there latest SDR software as well, it is MUCH FASTER in transferring data and audio information than any other source currently in use, MSHV, JTDX and a number of logging applications-or currently using TCI interface would be a big plus for those of use with RIGs that offer TCI , it's a simple click it to turn on and use it no configurations other than setting the port number used by TCI typically 4001 or 5001- Frequency control. Will it be able to also include TCI-UDP interfacing as well?

While I haven't spent a lot of time with the new version, what time I have it looks and works very nice- Congrats on a really nice upgrade!

Hello Dave I went through this very much in the beginning and a little after we started tested the changes to VaraHA, which helped a lot, however I still had some Audio oddities perhaps the attached document will help

Tony and I just a QSO and all seemed to go well, need to test these changes another day or two then will post the complete changes in Win11 I have done which seems to have helped, these should also apply to windows 10 as well. Thanks, Tony, for the test and qso

@73guddx 4.5.5 certainly has helped a lot. Some of this I think is the way the EESDR SUNSDR rigs work I'm working with Expert Electronics to see if a way to speed RX/TX cycle time. Again windows 11 is certainly another thorn with audio latency. and I suspect some contacts with other SDR users still using the old version of Var HF 4.5.0. Gary with his 6500 and I seem to contact on first try most of the time now, that was a big jump. as well as me connecting with Larry w1izz who I could not at all before. One other thing I'll note is this poling time in OmniRig, if that is set low it can interfere with cycle, there isn't a need for the radio to be polled every 100ms, 550 or more can help because you're not tying resources in obtaining status of the rig. I have seen quite a few posts showing that at 100ms

My rate has jumped some 80% + percent since we worked with those changes Gary. One Thing I have found out is Windows 11 has some issues with Audio Latency! I am currently using 11 and can verify that! I have made some changes with some registry settings and a few other tweaks which has helped even more. Had a nice chat earlier today with Russ in Florida for about 10 minutes or so and things went well here. I'm using A SunSDR2DX , with Winturd11. Key thing would be to ask the other user if that have upgraded to 4.5.5? if there still on 4.5.0 it will certainly have a bit more latency for SDR rigs. One thing I also suggest if your using VAC (virtual Audio Cable) with windows 11 try and use the WASAPI drivers and not the MME or other variants- here is a good article regarding this audio latency and win10 and win11 Low Latency Audio - Windows drivers | Microsoft Docs

Yep, I saw it as well and commented on it the other day, just took it as a so called Hey you should be using-warning message and proceeded without issue.

Larry as an FYI, with both myself running an SDR a SunSDR2DX and with Gary NC3Z who was using either a 7300 or possibly his Flex6500 you could not connect with either, is why I posted that message on the forum regarding" This would be a great mode but" which you responded about the latency Monitor. All SDR rigs have some latency it's just the fact of design. some a bit more than others. Jose has made couple changes in the Vara HF modem application which has help ALOT! I think Irad sent you the test / Beta update for Vara HF 4.5.2 When you get a chance to install those files, please email me so we can test your connection to both Gary NC3Z and myself again. I am pretty sure that will resolve the issue with the handshake connection. When both Gary and I connected to you we both were running the updated 4.51 or 4.5.2 version of Vara HF. Neither of us would have connected prior to that most likely. AS I understand and think Jose will be releasing an updated version of VaraHF soon. My PC latency is very low- Hower the software to control radio and the fact my SDR uses a mechanical relay adds some latency to the equation, another good test would be W2JON also an older Flex 5000 again a mechanical relay switching TX/RX.
