Irad 4Z1AC & the VarAC team, Just updated to 7.3.0 and now i find that my QSY problem has gone away. But just now i noticed there was a bug fix on May 6 that would have fixed this for me. For a couple months, I had to visually verify that the freq readout in the application agreed with what my radio freq was, and adjust the app's freq to agree with the radio. Now it works just about all the time. The only remaining freq issue seems to be that when i run the application, and use the drop-down menu to go to 14.105, it goes to 14.104.3 instead. So then i use the drop-down again to go to 14.105 and it does it. Also, if my radio is set to some other freq (like 7.284.00) and then i run the application, the freq readout in the app may read 0 (zero). Sometimes. Again, easily adjusted. In a previous post here, i was advised to edit my log file to say DATA instead of the default. I didn't do that at that time because i saw something in the .adi file i didn't understand. Can I just globally search and replace: <MODE:7>DYNAMIC <SUBMODE:7>VARA HF with: <MODE:4>DATA ?? And will that make it uploadable to LoTW. Thanks for comments. Orrin WN1Z

After 3 months of use, suddenly the program is having problems. Either that or i'm having problems. Jajaja Appreciate any help solving this. Yesterday VarAC was working fine. Today it was not working, and i spent hours troubleshooting. (1) After a fresh install, the directory c:\varac doesn't exist. (2) On a different radio, on a different computer, WSJT-X works. (3) On the 'main' computer, and the 'main' radio (Varac), WSJT-X works. When I run Varac (tho i don't know how it is running with no executable?), I get the following messages: (a) Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. ... Could not find file. ... Could not find file c:\users\wn1z\Desktop\VaracAC_cat_commands.ink Also, on the VARA screen, the left dial goes all the way down to -95 or so. ... I did a factory reset on the FT-991A, to no avail. I also did a couple 'Restore' on Win10. Thanks for help. -- Orrin

Hello folks. Thanks so much for this application. Today i upgraded to Varac 6.4.15, and I found that the QSO log (ADIF file) was not being read, nor written to. I decided to fix the problem by copying all my Varac logs, saving them to the desktop, then deleting the Varac directory entirely. Then start with a fresh install of 6.4.15, and make a contact with someone. Then i saw that the QSO file was being written to, and i could read it, so i appended all the old logs to the new files.
